Associate Professor Benita Tan is a Senior Consultant Breast Surgeon in the Department of General Surgery in Sengkang General Hospital and is the current Chairman of the Division of Surgery at Sengkang General Hospital. She is also a Senior Consultant at the Department of Breast Surgery, Singapore General Hospital and Division of Surgical Oncology in National Cancer Centre, Singapore. She is currently serving various administrative positions in SingHealth as the Vice-chair of Fellowship and Professional Development (FAPD) of the Academic Medicine Council for Surgery ACP, Programme Director of the Associate Consultant Readiness Programme (ACRP) in the Office of Academic & Clinical Development, Academic Development Department, (OACD, ADD), Duke-NUS Medical School where she guides and mentors new associate consultants who embark on the journey as a specialist to build a career path in SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC). She is active in value-based healthcare and a keen driver for sustainability in Go Green activities in Sengkang General Hospital and is Co-chair for Sustainability in Singhealth. A strong believer of collaborative efforts, she works with local and international partners in breast cancer research. She enjoys teaching and shares her clinical experiences with students and holds concurrent appointments of Associate Professor in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and Associate Professor with the Duke-NUS Medical School and is a Lecturer in Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Dr. dr. Farida Briani Sobri, Sp.B(K)Onk, is a distinguished medical professional based in Jakarta, Indonesia. With a commitment to advancing healthcare, Dr. Sobri has built an impressive career in the field of oncology. Dr. Sobri earned her General Practitioner degree from the Medical Faculty of Universitas Indonesia in 1998, followed by a specialization in General Surgery from the same institution in 2007. Her dedication to oncology led her to pursue further studies, earning the title of Surgical Oncologist in 2010. Driven by a passion for public health, she successfully completed her Doctorate in the Faculty of Public Health at Universitas Indonesia in 2022. Currently serving as a valued member of the Surgery Department at MMC Hospital in Jakarta Selatan, Dr. Sobri continues to contribute her expertise to patient care and medical advancements. Actively involved in professional organizations, Dr. Sobri is a proud member of Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) and Perhimpunan Ahli Bedah Onkologi Indonesia (PERABOI). She is also the founder of Yayasan Smart Pink Indonesia (YSPI), a foundation dedicated to supporting breast cancer survivors, and the visionary behind MammaSIP, an app and website providing digital education on breast health and cancer. Her commitment to the oncology community extends to her role as a member of Perhimpunan Onkologi Indonesia Jakarta (POI JAYA), the Jakarta Branch of the Indonesia Oncology Association. Dr. dr. Farida Briani Sobri, Sp.B(K)Onk, stands as a beacon of inspiration in the medical field, making a significant impact on both patient care and cancer education in Indonesia.

Dr Lim Geok Hoon Head and Senior Consultant at Breast Department, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor with Duke-NUS Medical School. She is trained in oncoplastic breast surgery and believes that a good cosmetic breast result is as paramount as a safe oncological outcome. She has several publications with most of her works focusing specifically on the surgical oncoplastic techniques most applicable to Asian women. She also has a special interest in genetic breast cancer, which is why she pursued a year- long fellowship in the United Kingdom on breast cancer genetics and oncoplastic surgery. She founded the Singapore Breast Oncoplastic Surgery Symposium (SBOSS) in 2015 and developed the world first virtual simulator for teaching oncoplastic surgery. She also pioneered the minimal scar mastectomy technique.

Dr Julie is a Consultant with the Department of Breast Surgery in both National Cancer Centre Singapore and Singapore General Hospital. Her practice covers benign breast conditions, the diagnosis and surgical treatment of symptomatic and screen detected breast cancer. In addition, she has a keen interest in lactational medicine, and is an International Board certified Lactation Consultant. Julie is a mother of 3 and as a breast surgeon, she has managed patients who may suffer complications of breastfeeding, and she hopes to be able to help this group of patients as a lactation consultant.

Dr Lester Leong is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the Singapore General Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor with the SingHealth Radiological Sciences Academic Clinical Programme, Duke-NUS Medical School.

Dr Lim Sue Zann is a consultant in the Singhealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre. She graduated with honours from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya in 2008. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and registered as a specialist in general surgery in 2017. She has also completed the Advanced Breast Surgery Fellowship Programme under Singhealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre and Department of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Singapore General Hospital. This fellowship focuses on both oncological and reconstructive breast surgery. In 2022, she underwent surgical training in Asan Medical Center in South Korea focusing on minimally invasive breast surgery. In 2023, she also visited the Royal Marsden Hospital in London to learn new techniques on oncoplastic breast surgery. She is also actively involved in medical education. She received the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence from Yong Loo Lin Medical School in 2013. She is also an adjunct assistant professor in DUKE-NUS Medical School. She was appointed as a Physician Faculty Member for SingHealth General Surgery Residency Program in 2018 and now a Core Faculty Member in this programme. She is also the Clinical Core Faculty Member for Post Graduate Year 1 Doctors in the Department of General Surgery Singapore General Hospital. Her research interests are mainly in de-escalation of axillary treatment in breast cancer patient, breast sarcoma and phyllodes tumours. Based on her work in the above topic, she was awarded the Singapore General Hospital Research Grant in 2016.

Dr. Mok Chi Wei graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2010 and subsequently joined Singhealth General Surgery Residency Programme from 2012 to 2017 for his postgraduate training. He was accredited as a specialist in General Surgery in September 2017, with the Fellowship Examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (General Surgery), before sub-specializing in breast surgery in particular breast cancer surgery.

Dr Oey Chung Lie was born and bred as Indonesian and grew up in Semarang. She graduated from medical school of Diponegoro University in 1991. In pursuing her dream of becoming a surgeon, she was attached and eventually work in Department of Surgery, Singapore General Hospital. She obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd) degree in 2004 and Master of Medicine in Surgery (MMed) Singapore in 2008. Since 2006 she has been working under National Cancer Centre Singapore, in which she is concentrating in Breast Surgery.

Peter Dubsky developed and heads, the Tumour- and Breast Cancer Centre at the Hirslanden Klinik St. Anna in Lucerne, Switzerland. In 2023 he joined the faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine at the University of Lucerne. He is the founder of the “Network of Hirslanden Breast Cancer Centres (NHBCC)” and the “Lucerne Toolbox Consensus” which provides clinical guidance on local therapy options for breast cancer patients. In addition, he currently serves as the Vice President of the Breast Cancer group at SAKK (Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research). He received his MD and completed his surgical training at the Medical University of Vienna. After a post-doctoral fellowship in cancer immunology in the US and board certification in General and Visceral Surgery, he focused his clinical work and research on breast cancer. In addition to his ongoing work as a breast surgeon and clinical trialist, his active research interests focus on biomarkers in early breast cancer. He has served in several scientific committees of European oncology societies and recently joined the IBCSG scientific committee

Dr See Mee-Hoong is a lecturer and Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at University Malaya Medical Center (UMMC). she is a Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in University Malaya Medical Centre and University Malaya Specialist Center. She is currently the investigator and co-investigator for a few clinical trials such as risk for breast cancer, Intraoperative Radiotherapy (TARGIT B Trial), improving outcome for breast conserving surgery and oncology treatment for Her-2 positive breast cancer (Samsung Trial).

Clinical Associate Professor Veronique Tan is a Senior Consultant and Chief of Breast Surgery at National Cancer Centre Singapore and Singapore General Hospital. She also Heads the SingHealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre. As one of the few breast surgeons in Singapore formally trained in oncoplastic breast surgery, A/Prof Tan believes that the appearance of the breast after cancer resection is important, and that every patient should have a tailored, individualised surgical solution. She works within a dynamic multidisciplinary team to deliver precise, high quality and effective treatment.
