Monica Morrow, MD is chief of the Breast Surgery Service, Anne Burnett Windfohr Chair of Clinical Oncology, co-chief of the Breast Program at Memorial-Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and Professor of Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Dr. Morrow is a Distinguished Alumni of both the Pennsylvania State University and Jefferson Medical College and past-president of the Society of Surgical Oncology. She is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow) and of the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. Awards include the Gianni Bonnadonna Breast Cancer Award (ASCO), William McGuire lectureship (SABCS), Brinker Award for Scientific Distinction in Clinical Research (Susan G Komen), St Gallen International Breast Cancer Award and the John Wayne Clinical Research Award (SSO). She is the editor of 3 breast cancer textbooks and has published more than 500 book chapters, manuscripts, and editorials. Her interests include the application of clinical trials data in practice, the evaluation of new technology related to local therapy of breast cancer and surgical decision making. She has led multidisciplinary groups that have developed guidelines for BCT and for margins in DCIS and invasive cancer.
