Professor Lee Soo Chin is a distinguished Medical Oncologist with an extensive experience spanning over 30 years. Her expertise and focus lie in the fields of Breast cancer, Cancer genetics, and Pharmacogenetics. Throughout her illustrious career, she has made significant contributions to the field of oncology. Professor Lee Soo Chin is a respected member of various medical and oncology organizations, including the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, where her contributions have undoubtedly enriched the medical community. She is also an active member of the Singapore Society of Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Singapore Medical Association, showcasing her commitment to the advancement of cancer research and patient care.
Dr Wong Nan Soon is an oncologist practising at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore.
His subspecialty interests are in breast cancer and gastrointestinal cancer.
He completed his advanced specialty training in general medical oncology in 2003, and subsequently a clinical fellowship subspecializing in breast medical oncology in Sunnybrook and Women’s Health Science Centre in Canada, where he trained under world-renowned breast oncologists including Professor Kathleen Pritchard.
Professor Dent’s primary research focus centers on breast cancer, with particular emphasis on locally advanced breast cancer and triple negative/basal-like breast cancers. Her extensive educational background includes a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics from the University of Toronto, a Doctor of Medicine degree from McMaster University, and a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. In her professional roles, she has held the position of Head of Breast Cancer Research at SingHealth/Duke-NUS since 2012, as well as Head of the Breast Medical Oncology Team at the National Cancer Centre Singapore. She is the Co-Chair and Founder of the Annual Asia-Pacific Breast Cancer Symposium and the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Symposium, both of which she has been actively involved in since 2011.
Dr Shaheenah Dawood is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Professor in Clinical Oncology in the United Arab Emirates. She was trained in medical oncology at McGill University Hospitals in Canada and subspecialized in breast cancer management at MD Anderson Cancer Center. During her training, she was awarded multiple scholar training awards besides ASCO merit awards. Dr Shaheenah has served as an editorial fellow at the New England Journal of Medicine and has an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. She has over 100 papers to her credit including 50 peer review original articles, 30 review articles, and 12 book chapters. Having served as a reviewer for multiple journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology she is currently leading the oncology clinical trials program at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai. She also serves as President of Excellence in Oncology Care (EIOC) annual congress held in Dubai and is Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Breast Cancer Summit (APBCS), Asia Pacific Gastrointestinal Cancer Summit (APGCS) ,the international BRCA forum (iBRCAf) and Young Women Forum (YWF) from over a decade.
